• Education is a life-long process, beginning at birth, holistic in nature, and involving the assimilation of new information into what we know. The purpose of education is to create learners, and prepare young people for the many milestones in life. In essence, the purpose is to teach children to teach themselves.
  
  
• Children pass through several distinct stages of development, in their own timeframe, are unique, and cannot be compared to each other. 
  
  
• Children learn at different levels, speeds, and learning styles. Children learn by interacting with others, organizing, structuring, and restructuring learning experiences, through hands-on lessons, experiments, and manipulatives, in a loving, happy, healthy, and stimulating environment. 

Parents are the first and foremost educators of their child. From them children learn that the world is a safe place. Teachers are the next, and should be good examples, and strong role models. Finally, children are responsible for their own education. When a child is taught how to learn, they have the tools they need to educate themselves for the remainder of their lives.
