Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday
6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Children’s Daily Routine:

When working with children, flexibility is crucial.  The following schedule is a guide.  We will try to be very consistent with meal and nap times, but the children’s needs direct much of the remainder of the day.  Television time is very limited, and involves only age appropriate videos or television.

6:30 to 7:30 am	Daycare opens—Children welcomed—quiet activities
6:45 to 7:15 am	Clean up, wash hands, and eat breakfast. All children will brush teeth when breakfast is over.  School-age children prepare to leave for school
7:15 to 7:20 am	Bus pick-up: ”Goodbye school-age children, have a great day.”
7:30 to 8:45 am	Indoor activity time:  Infants may be ready for morning naps)
8:00 –10:00 am	Preschool activities and/or break out time
8:45 to 9:00 am	Circle time:  action songs—finger plays—books
9:00 to 10:00 am	Arts & crafts / Literacy activity / Free play time (kids choice)
Around 9:45	Wash hands and prepare for snack.
10:00 to 10:15 am	Morning snack (infants may wake up around this time and want a snack)
10:15 to 11:45 am	Outdoor Activity Time — weather permitting (If weather does not  permit outdoor play, children will participate in active play indoors)
11:45 to 12:00 pm	Clean up and prepare for lunch — wash hands — television time or              choice of upstairs toys while lunch is prepared.
12:00 to 12:45 pm	Lunch—all children will brush their teeth when lunch is over.
12:45 to 1:00 pm	Toileting, prepare for quiet time/nap time, story time or quiet interactive songs.
1:00 to 3:00 pm	Quiet time / Nap time (calm music is played)
Children who are school-age and no longer take a nap will be provided with appropriate quiet activities while the younger kids nap.
3:00 to 3:15 pm	Children wake up & wash hands to prepare for snack
3:15 to 3:30 pm	Afternoon snack
3:30 to 4:30 pm	Arts & crafts / Literacy activity / Free play time (kids choice)
4:30 to 6:00 pm	Free play / Parent pick-up May be indoor or outdoor depending on weather
